Large vessel occlusion strokes
I work in a free standing ER, within the last month staff has missed two large vessel occlusion strokes. The symptoms were minimal. One was frequent headaches and the other was numbness to fingers on one side and a recent fall. I’ve been told the EMS does a different muero assessment to rule this type of stroke. What I need is to be able to give a little education of s/s, what scale nurses can use and best treatment helping staff to be better informed. This is all to educate
