According to Schober (2017), contrary to the view of most people, nursing practice does not only involve basic patient care. As such, it also involves a plethora of multidimensional aspects that obligate nurses to protect, promote, as well as prevent injuries and diseases in patients, families, and the community at large.  Taking this into consideration, nurses get the opportunity of being involved politically in influencing and shaping healthcare policies in order to enhance optimal patient care. Miller and Rose (2017) have explained that the four political spheres of political action in nursing are a workplace, government, professional organizations, and the community.
