Explain how a libertarian and conservative would approach developing the US budget. Use evidence (cite sources) to support your response from assigned readings or online lessons, and at least one outside scholarly source.

Solution:

In the United States, it is with no doubt that conservatives and liberals are typically conflicting in a wide range of aspects within the country. This is not an exception when it comes to matter to do with budgeting. Taking this into account, in regards to conservatives, they would advocate an increase in military spending, cutting taxes, as well as reducing spending on social welfare programs such as Medicare and Medicaid (Magstadt, 2017).  Cut on spending on social welfare among the conservatives would be fuelled by the notion that personal gain is more important than wealth distribution (Alexander, 2015).
