According to Molloy (2013), there exists a wide range of challenges facing Christianity in the 21^st century.  Nevertheless, one of the main issues is the growth and development of science. As such, it has resulted in many people questioning the validity of many of the teachings as well as beliefs within the Christian Bible. Such beliefs include the belief that Jesus was born to a virgin mother. In this case, science has proven that in ideal circumstances, this is not possible.
