Data is raw unsorted information such as events, facts, transactions, and even activities. Data that is not organized can be useless and just a mess of information. Data is much more useful if it is organized.Information isa collection of data that is orgnaized and useful to someone and can be used in their organization. Metadata is important because it gives properties to the data that has been collected. It is also helpful in describing how data is stored and how said data is structured (Umanath, 2015). As you can see in the example below, Vince chooses to make notes on which album he purchases from each customer. In the xample we can use the information that was gather from the sale to each customer. Such as the fact that Vince bought Dylan, & Blond on Blond by John Larson.
