Reflection As I examine my accomplished undertakings in this course for the past eight weeks, I have been progressively prepared personally and professionally to connect the proficiencies expected in my MSN educational journey. The three categories, namely MSN program outcome, MSN essential, and NONPF core competencies, have always been an influential benchmark in my groundwork for progress and will be explored further by providing specific examples of how these competencies were attained the entire eight weeks course. MSN Program Outcome One of the MSNprogram outcomes is advocating positive health outcomes through compassionate, evidence-based, collaborative advanced nursing practice (Chamberlain College of Nursing, 2020). In the first three weeks, there had been a discussion board on how I would provide appropriate pharmacological treatment and medications according to patient presentation and distinctive patient factors, along with the case studies presented by my peers in week 6. Looking back, I encountered exploring patient factors relevant to selecting the most effective drug of choice for a patient with a particular diagnosis in a self-reflective manner guided by the most current evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.Listening still stands out as the hallmark of every patient visit to show compassion. When one listens, even though time is limited, it can make an enormous difference to that patient (Neal-Boylan, 2020). Becoming a patient advocate for positive health outcomes starts with being compassionate to the most vulnerable patients – children, pregnant women, and the elderly.The current health care delivery climate is in endless change and places more emphasis on metrics and revenue, with caring relationships being de-underscored (O'Grady, 2020).
