Statement of the Problem Burnout among nurses is at monumental levels, contributes to high levels of job dissatisfaction and turnover, and negatively impacts both patients and organizations. Some interventions existed in the literature to support burnout reduction programming among nurses; however, the literature failed to identify effective burnout reduction interventions based upon the specific needs of critical care nurses who faced unique stressors related to high patient acuity and other environmental considerations.
