There are many groups that support advanced practice nurses (APN). A national group that

provides dedication to advancing high caliber nurse practitioner (NP) education is the National

Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF). Another national APN group I came across

was the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Joining a group like AANP NPs are

given the tools they need to improve various communities' access to person-centered, fair-

minded, high-quality healthcare through practice, leadership, advocacy, education, and research

(AANP, n.d.).

A few specific NP groups to Wisconsin are The Wisconsin Nurses Association (WNA) and the

Wisconsin Nurse Practitioner Network (WNPN)
