Responsibilities of Nurse Educators and Leaders

In my career in nursing informatics, there are many learners that I have been able to help in mentoring them on informatics and the use of information technology in the process of provision of patient care. One factor that is taken into account is the consideration of how informatics may fit in both the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. The best discussion question for learners is on the best time that informatics can be interwoven fully in the nursing program. Honey, Collins, and Britnell (2020) depict that there has been a great change in the nursing community and that the use of technology has played a role in improving patient safety and quality of care.
