Discussion: Where in the World Is Evidence-Based Practice?

            As you have stated, implementation and application of evidence-based practice (EBP) in health practice play an important role in improving care delivery, patient results, and healthcare quality (Laureate Education, 2018). EBP allows nurses to apply the best proofs and practices in healthcare, contributing to positive health outcomes. The Joint Commission is one of the organizations whose work is based on evidence-based practice. The organization is dedicated to excellence via Evidence-Based Practice that is found on the entire website. Its standards are established by expert consensus and scientific research mainly reviewed by the Board commission ((The Joint Commission, 2021). Its website describes study research researched and published by Center for Disease Control and Prevention and other scholarly and peer-reviewed study research organizations. The Joint Commission’s works are grounded on EBP as evidenced through provisions of rationale in National Patient Safety Goals, with every goal including evidence-based rationale.
