It is related to the clinical issues of interest as it details aspects of technology use in the comprehensive management of persons with chronic illnesses. In the pursuit of high-quality mental healthcare, research plays a role in informing novel evidence-based approaches to managing these illnesses. An ethical justification for these research processes is the mutual trust between caregivers and their clients. Caregivers reserve the ethical obligation to do good to their clients. This article was selected because it is based on technology use in chronic care. It details how health information technologies have been used in contemporary healthcare, including preventive care, as seen in cancer screening. An ethical justification of this study is the use of health technologies in health promotion and preservation. This is a demonstration of caregivers’ commitment to bettering the health of their clients per the principle of beneficence. This article was selected because it is based on technology use in chronic care. It is related to the clinical issue of interest as it details the utility of health information technologies (HIT)by persons with chronic illnesses. An ethical justification of this study is the need for judicious provision of healthcare across all communities. Caregivers have the moral and ethical obligation to treat their clients equally. HIT provides a pathway towards equality in care in persons with multimorbidities as it lessens the need for physical visitations to the hospitals. This article was selected because it is based on technology use in chronic care. It is related to the clinical issue of interest as it explores the degree of alignment of various HITs with communities’ needs and wants. In this respect, it provides a pathway for enhancing the adoption of these technologies. An ethical justification of this study is its resolve to protect the welfare of communities, even in the wake of emerging technologies. This is per the ethical principle of beneficence.
