Overview of voting rights

There are struggles that different countries have faced and that have influenced the quality of living of the population. The rising cases of pressure on the rights of voting for all persons have led to the increase in complications on how leaders can be able to help their subjects. Voting rights include the constitutional freedom and right of every adult American regardless of the academic qualifications, the nature of the job, income, social status and regardless of adult age, to vote and make a difference in society by electing good leaders (Waldman, 2017).

In the 2020 presidential elections in the USA, the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) was concerned that despite the constitution providing the rights for adults to vote, there are people in the society who either ignored voting as their right or were denied that right to vote. The feeling that not all persons are taken into consideration for their efforts to learn and participate in the election activities affects the nationalism of the population and that some feel that they are sidelined.

People should have the feeling of being part of the decision-making and that there is a need for them to learn the steps that are supposed to be put into consideration when implementing the activities needed for being part of the decision-making persons in the community such as the involvement in the voting process.
