Overview of voting rights

There are struggles that different countries have faced and that have influenced the quality of living of the population. The rising cases of pressure on the rights of voting for all persons have led to the increase in complications on how leaders can be able to help their subjects. Voting rights include the constitutional freedom and right of every adult American regardless of the academic qualifications, the nature of the job, income, social status and regardless of adult age, to vote and make a difference in society by electing good leaders (Waldman, 2017).

In the 2020 presidential elections in the USA, the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) was concerned that despite the constitution providing the rights for adults to vote, there are people in the society who either ignored voting as their right or were denied that right to vote. The issue whereby some groups feel that they are sidelined in the process of decision-making is supposed to be eliminated in the community. The rights of persons regardless of their condition or their view are supposed to be respected….
