[The perspectives given through my current research are those of witnesses who incurred no harm or people who can collect articles and facts and put them together or the media who ran with the story. None of these articles research or interviews are given by an African American who dealt with this violent act firsthand. What about the law enforcement during that time that was called in? What did they feel? I feel like far too often the African American perspective of what was during historical events gets muted or silenced for what everyone thinks is right.
