Highlight organizational policies and procedures that are/will be in place at your healthcare organization to address the policy or regulation selected

There are several organizational policies that will be implemented to address 21 st Century
Cures Act implementation. The main policy relates security of patient data from unauthorized
access. The organization will rely on data encryption and use of computer passwords to maintain
the integrity of patient data stored in the company’s computer network (Niles, 2019).
The second policy relate to the use of secure c information technology communication
protocols that prevent accidental loss or breach of data privacy during data sharing with other
providers and communication to health research agencies in the country (Gordon & Mandl,
2020, p 315).
The third policy is the periodic information security tests and updates of the computer
systems. This will entail frequent change of passwords and use of anti-virus software to prevent
malicious attacks and hacking of the organizational computer systems (Niles, 2019).
The fourth policy is data and information access, storage, and transmission training
program. There is a need for the staff to get additional training on the regulation since it affects
their day to day work and exposes the organization to legal suits (Niles, 2019).
