Human resources is perhaps the most critical resource for any organization. Better
management of human resources ensures that ABC oil and Gas goals in the strategic, medium
term and long term objectives are attained seamlessly. Therefore, ABC should prioritize the
needs and concerns of its employees to have an edge in meeting the aims of the business to
improve its bottom-line and competitive edge in the marketplace (Fenech et al., 2019).
Therefore, as a human resource consultant, we present our case as strategic business partners to
ensure that ABC oil and Gas shall attain its organizational goals in regard to matters pertaining to
human resource management (Noe et al., 2017).
Human resource strategy is critical in promoting main goal of growth of ABC oil and gas
company in light of the its future mandate to enhance capacity of gas production by 20% in the
coming three years (Hinson et al., 2021). Since ABC oil and gas seeks to meet government
objectives of turning all coal based generation plants to electricity in coming years, the need for
competent, qualified, skilled and talented personnel will be paramount (Brewster & Hegewisch,
2017.) It is at this point that our expertise in human resource management will come in handy to
guide the transition process that is oncoming and imminent (O’riordan, 2017).
Therefore, ABC strategy to meet its vision of recruitment of people with talent and
expertise shall encompass; For one, acting as strategic partners with ABC oil and Gas will be the
starting point to realize the vision of the company thus becoming the yardstick for other
companies in environmental sustainability in oil and gas industry (Penco et al., 2019). Secondly,
the company needs to concentrate on its core objective of producing energy that is sustainable
for the community (Obeidat et al., 2020). As a result, it is pivotal that it outsources the function

of managing over 1500 staff to human resource experts who will be responsible for day to day
management of matters human resource to guide the company in meeting its core objectives in
the marketplace.
Consequently, as the CEO, supporting key themes identified by the human resource team
in conjunction with the guidance from the ABC board of directors will be pertinent and crucial in
achievement of ABC objectives (Getaneh, 2018). Secondly, the human resource strategy to
improve and support the welfare of ABC staff will outline themes in human resource role as
essential in ensuring that continuous training and retention of staff is prioritized, opening
channels of discussion for benefits and compensation, performance reviews, promoting diversity,
and ensuring that worker safety is upheld in respect to regional laws and regulations (Brewster,
2017). When the procedures and guidelines in mentioned areas are met, ABC oil and gas will
surely turn around employee perception and consequently the productivity levels (Jauhar et al.,
2017).
Thirdly, when hiring different positions shall be advertised differently. For instance, entry
level positions can be filled through direct recruitment from local colleges and Universities.
Again, Mid-Level positions and senior positions can be publicly advertised but adopt a multi-
faceted support of professionals in the industry to select the most suitable, and qualified
individuals for such positions (Amrutha & Geetha, 2020).
In sum, ABC identification of ideal human resource strategy is critical in promoting main
