As a social worker, I share the same beliefs as Tiffani in picking oneself up and soldiering on in
life. Nonetheless, I disagree with the confusion that Tiffani exhibit in consideration of rejoining
with her pimp, who mistreated her and abused her for long periods. Again, I share the belief of
reaffirming one's strength as lying within, especially for a woman that is not dependent on men.
In addition, as a social worker, the negative effects of drugs on Tiffany's parents and the
multiplier effect on children reinforces my stand against engaging in such deplorable acts,
especially when one is a caregiver. Again, as a social worker, my personal growth would be
showcased in the ability to provide Tiffani with hope for complete recovery from her ordeal. My
role is to avail love and compassion to my clients who experience the same ordeals as Tiffani. As
such, for meaningful growth to occur, I would establish myself as someone who favours learning
to help clients such as Tiffani by incorporating of empathy and understanding to help the patient
get help for treatment.
