The attacks almost always occurred at about 4PM, after which she had to lie down until 7 or 8PM. After feeling better she would spend the rest of the night watching TV, would fall asleep on the couch and go to the bedroom at around 3AM.

Introduction

The patient taken into consideration in this investigation is called Mrs. Spinner who is a 46-year old woman referred by her husband. The patient companies of having attacks of dizziness which leave her incapacitated. The patient presents that she has dizziness 4-5 times a week. The attacks mainly occur at 4 pm and she ends up lying down up to 7 or 8 pm. She claims to be spending much time after feeling better watching television and falling asleep on the couch. On having an evaluation and getting tests, it is found that all the tests are negative. She has complained of having verbal abuse from her husband. This paper focuses on the examination of the diagnosis, treatment plan, and prognosis of the patient. 

Diagnosis

From the case, it is evident that the patient is suffering from a condition called conversion disorder. This is as well-referred to as the functional neurological disorder as a patient with this condition shows mental pressure. As per the DSM-5, conversion disorder leads to the depiction of medical issues stating with the mental or psychological health abnormalities.
