Refection on HPI

Harvey Hoya is a 57-year-old Hispanic patient who has come to the clinic with a complaint of high blood pressure. The patient is examined by asking 120 questions. The questions are expected to help in the determination of the diagnosis and the plan of care for the patient. In the information that is provided, there are different sections in the SOAP note one of which is the history of the present illness (HPI). This section is focused on the provision of information of the patient as a summary including the onset and the progression of the condition of the patient. The information is expected to help in guiding the healthcare providers to be able to develop the ideal plan for treating the patient as ascribed by Hemingway (2021). This paper intends to evaluate the HPI of the patient and my reflection on the strengths and areas of weakness. 

Refection on Constructed HPI for this patient encounter

The HPI for the patient has been presented clearly and concisely in that there is a lack of any information on the necessary actions to be used for the development of the basis of handling the patient care. The issue that is mainly experienced is that there is the presentation of information that is used as a guide for further examination of the patient. The summary that is presented in this case is expected to help in guiding for further examination of the patient.
