Nurses are the treasures of humanity. The documentary video shows some moments in history when nurses contributed ideas that helped change the health sector. For example, sanitary services, which are used today, were founded by nurses. It is the nurse who found out that a few exposures to sunlight can help cure jaundice. Also, it is a nurse who first improvised voice instruments for patients who cannot speak (Johnson& Johnson, 2018). The video could one day be remade to demonstrate how nurses have helped improve the lives of COVID-19 patients (American Nurses Association, 2020). Nurses charges people’s life and that change everything in life. Nursing is a career focusing on caring for patients medically, physically, mentally and emotionally.

I am passionately pursuing nursing as a course because of my feeling to serve humanity. My personal slogan in my career is, “peoples’ health first”. Throughout my life, I have witnessed several people suffering due to their medical conditions (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2021). The loneliness of the patients has even made the situation worse. As a nurse, I feel obligated to take the responsibility of helping the unfortunate individuals in the community by being their medical caregiver to help leverage their situation.

From the video clip, I feel excited, motivated and inspired by what nurses have done to change patients’ lives. From the foundation of the cure of jaundice and the invention of instruments that help patients who are unable to speak to speak (Johnson& Johnson, 2018). I really feel motivated and grateful for what nurses have achieved so far in the health sector. The excitement I feel when I see my fellow nurses putting their best at work has really motivated me. Therefore, I truly believe I will be my best in my career to help save humanity.
