NURS 6003 Part 2 Strategies To Promote Academic Integrity And Professional Ethics

I am a Registered Nurse, and I practiced 17 years of my career managing a long-term inpatient psychiatric facility. I am also a father, a husband, and a son. I chose Walden because of its diverse community of career professionals. I believe that Walden University’s MSN Program will help me grow as a scholar-practitioner. I will learn from various experiences and knowledge from my classmates, colleagues, and professors from different parts of the United States. I also want to become part of a diverse community aiming to make a positive impact on mental health. While honing skills in communication, assessment, quality improvement, and integration of cost-effective care; Walden University’s flexible program will allow me to fulfill my academic goal while I fulfill my duties to my family, colleagues, and patients. Walden University’s MSN program will allow me to acquire the necessary tools to become part of positive social change in mental health. 

      My academic and professional goal is to complete the MSN program and bring wisdom back to the mental health community. I will use that wisdom in breaking the stigma of mental health, providing cost-effective health care, and reduce the healthcare disparity in mental health. Through Walden, I will build networks of friends and fellow scholar-practitioner that will soon become leaders and pillars of the community in different parts of the country. One of Walden University’s MSN Program outcomes is to will help me hone my skills in various forms of communication. Through communication, we will break the stigma and ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing care. Through the Application of Continues Quality Improvement to deliver high-quality care and reduce the health care disparity in mental health. While practicing nursing with integrity, maintaining honesty, and high-quality nursing care.

        Finally, I understand that path to the MSN will be arduous. There will be a time when we will be forced to fulfill multiple responsibilities. Through networking, I will build a community within and outside of the program that will help me succeed in this journey. I am looking forward to connecting with and learning from my fellow scholar-practitioner and teammates. I am a firm believer that in any successful endeavor, there is a community behind it. Networking is a community with the same goal. Networking is vital in our role as scholar-practitioner because we not only learn through textbooks and academia but through the experiences and wisdom of others around us. Being part of Walden University and the MSN program will greatly increase my chances of fulfilling my personal and academic goals.
