NURS 6053 Assignment Personal Leadership Philosophies

After taking the test, my talent’s first five dominant themes are; being a great learner, individualization, futuristic, Positivity, and relator. Below I have given a brief description of each of the five themes.

Learner

Active learning leaders advance their leadership abilities beyond those of their contemporaries.

 

 

Growth-minded executives diligently complete particular stages of the experiential learning cycle (Keating, 2019). Whether it’s a team at work or an entire department, leaders who can adapt and learn can significantly impact the organizations they oversee. Learning leaders can encourage others to learn, whether they are coworkers or employees. The gradual and intentional progression from ignorance to competence invigorates me. The excitement of discovering the initial few facts, the early attempts to practice or recite what I have learned, and the developing assurance of a skill acquired draw me into the process. This enables me to flourish in dynamic work situations where I can quickly learn about a new subject before moving on to the next one when given brief project assignments.

 Individualization

Tailoring your strategy to manage or lead others successfully would be best. You need to be aware of what makes each team member special. Also, it would help if you facilitated meaningful discussions about performance that highlight what each person does best by nature. Better dialogues and deeper collaborations will result from a strengths-based management strategy, better teamwork, and increased team engagement.(Yammarino & Dansereau, 2021).I am stronger thanks to my talent for individualization. So that my team and I may succeed, I need to lead from your areas of strength. I can bring out the best in every one since I am a reasonable observer of their capabilities. I can create effective teams with the help of this individualization theme. You instinctively know that the key to excellent teams is casting by unique talents so that everyone can accomplish most of what they do well. While some people look around for the ideal team structure or process, you may not.

Futuristic

The future’s new skills must be tapped into by leaders, who must also provide their followers the freedom to use them effectively. This encourages innovation and produces desirable results. I can imagine what the future may include, and this clear picture keeps luring me into tomorrow. While the specifics of the image will rely on my other abilities and interests, it will always inspire me to create a better team, product, life, or planet. I am a visionary who enjoys the sights she glimpses of what might be. I make up my future dreams, and they energize me when the present moment proves too tricky and the individuals around me are too pragmatic.

 Positivity

It has been demonstrated that positive leadership improves the satisfaction and performance of people, teams, and organizations. Anybody can struggle to maintain a cheerful attitude, especially in trying circumstances. For a leader to be cheery, positive, and supportive of their team, they must be committed, persistent, and relentlessly focused. But, it is something that we can all seek to improve to create better workplaces for all. I am quick to praise, smile, and look for the positive in a situation. Some people refer to me as lighthearted because I always seem to find a way to lift their spirits. I add drama to every project. I celebrate every accomplishment and look for ways to make everything more exciting and vital. Some cynics may dismiss my energy, but I am rarely dragged down. My Positivity will not allow it. Somehow, I can’t shake the feeling that it’s good to be alive, that work can be enjoyable, and that no matter what, one should never lose one’s sense of humor.

Relator

The Relator theme attracts me to people I already know. I don’t necessarily avoid meeting new people; I may have other characteristics that cause me to enjoy the thrill of turning strangers into friends; however, being around my close friends gives me much pleasure and strength. I am at ease with intimacy. Once the initial connection has been made, I purposefully encourage the relationship to deepen. I want to understand their emotions, goals, fears, and dreams, and I want them to understand mine. Being this close to someone risks being taken advantage of, but I am prepared to take that chance. A relationship only has worth to me if it is sincere. And the only way I can be sure of it is if I trust the other person. We take on more risk as a group the more we share.
