NURS FPX 4060 Assessment 3: Proposed Disaster Recovery Plan

The targeted disaster recovery plan for Carterdale is built to not only minimize the adverse effects of disasters but also to tackle the underlying health inequities and give a chance for the general population to access important life domain services. The plan strives to adopt a health equity approach, giving attention to the section of society that is less privileged and the most vulnerable, therefore improving outcomes and reducing inequities in healthcare access. Attending to social justice principles and cultural awareness, which will ensure that healthcare services are provided in a way that is acceptable to people from different backgrounds is the core of this approach (Paton & Johnston, 2019). NURS FPX 4060 Assessment 3 Disaster Recovery Plan: The community plan will be achieved by having community services, training of the therapeutic providers in cultural sensitivity and direct involvement and engagement of the community through various programs (Johnson et al., 2020). Furthermore, the plan encourages for policy implementations that tackle the key issues of poverty and insecure housing, thereby coming with approaches to solving the challenges of health equity in the long term that the entire Carterdale community can benefit from.
