There are four key messages that structure the report recommendations of IOM starting with nurses should to the full extent of their training and education practice. Also, nurses should always attain higher education levels and training via the improved system of education which promotes seamless academic progression. The third key message is nurses should fully partner with physicians and other health care providers in health care redesigning in the United States. Finally, effective policymaking and workforce planning always need better data collection and also an improved infrastructure of information (Sullivan, 2018). The key message of nurses practicing to their full extent of training and education has made some countries allow nurses autonomy of practice hence changing the past nursing practice where they worked under the supervision of the attending physician. The message of ensuring nurses attaining higher education levels and training has to lead to expansion of the practice competencies, lead to change and improvement in the education system, stat of evidence based practice and research, and enhancement of collaboration and teamwork.
