The role of the physician in this case is very important.It is his role to inform the parents that the decision that has been made on the child's behalf is both illogical and harmful.The physician is knowledgeable and is aware that the patient's condition is serious enough to warrant a kidney transplant within a year.Failure to do so will result in serious repercussions, death included.
