Introduction Advanced practice nursing (APN) has been rising worldwide, responding to the wants and needs of improving the outcomes and services for certain groups that are a priority, reducing waiting time, improving access to care, and containment of cost-related health care services. APN is the key term in nursing that contains several APN roles where they share at the core of caring directly to the families and patients. In the past several years, the roles for APN have been expanded by numbers, and the main scope of nursing practice as the roles are becoming more valued and used as an integral Section of the health care system (Hu & Forgeron, 2018). APN is beneficial in meeting the health needs needed now and those that will be needed in the future. The main concept of APN should be effectively unidentified to continue expanding the safety of patients while making sure the access to APN care is expanded. The main role of APN is defined as a registered nurse who has good decision-making skills, a nurse who understands the experts in nursing, and a nurse with expanded characteristics that show clinical competence. This paper intends to summarize an interview based on the roles of APN, transition, and role development and compare the interview results with the role development phases.
