Alcoholism is when an individual becomes addicted to alcohol, to the extent that he cannot function normally without drinking alcohol. Alcohol abuse is a major risk factor to many of the existing chronic diseases like – cardiovascular complications , Obesity, Diabetes and others. The causes of alcoholism include high stress levels, exposure to alcohol drinking culture in the developing age of a child, low self esteem, and peer pressure. | ||
