Politics and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

Introduction Many are still calling for the repeal of the affordable care act (ACA) after six years of its enactment that is from 2010. 2016 January, the congress, for the first time, passed a bill for the repeal of the ACA without replacement, and the president voted for the bill. But, a lot of controversies exist on the opponents of the ACA on what should replace ACA (Huntington, Covington, Center, Covington & Manchikanti, 2011). Therefore, there have been a lot of challenges, and opposition has caused it to delay. 2017 when President Donald Trump was signed in the office, he immediately signed for the repeal of Obamacare that is the Affordable Care Act through the budget reconciliation process. Therefore, since its introduction in 2010, there has been a lot of bills signed in to repeal and replace the ACA with part and full achievement (Hall, 2013).
