In my research about the bar code-assisted medication administration, I was looking at
what can be done to reduce the risk of medication errors in hospitals. I believe that qualitative
research will be best suited for my research. By using the historical analysis type of research, I
will be able to access the already completed research/study about the benefits of bar coded-
assisted medication in hospitals. By utilizing this type of research, I will find out what other
researchers have said about the high risks of medication errors in healthcare. I will also get to
know the possible ways they highlighted to help prevent/minimize medication errors in hospitals
and other settings.
