Research Critique Guidelines – Part I: Qualitative Studies Introduction and Background of Studies

For nurses, the reward comes from knowing they are helping their patients by giving them the best care possible. Today's nurses face several stressors contributing to burnout, including longer hours, staffing worries, and an unpleasant work atmosphere. Nursing and other healthcare professions are very stressful due to the nature of the job and the difficult conditions that healthcare practitioners often face. These tense situations have a significant bearing on nurse burnout, patient quality of care, and the frequency with which nurses leave their jobs. It has been reported that nurses who work without proper breaks or meals suffer from burnout, characterized by tiredness, apathy, and a loss of empathy. The high patient load impacts the nurse's emotional and psychological well-being, which may negatively impact the nurse-patient interaction and lead to inadequate treatment. Some people may have difficulty dealing with stress, but this is just because of individual differences. Psychological tiredness, detachment, and a lack of fulfilment are all parts of the burnout condition (Garcia et al., 2019). This study will use two qualitative articles: "Burnout and job satisfaction among critical care nurses in Saudi Arabia and their contributing factors: A scoping review" and "Early Career Burnout in Nursing." Method of Studies The data for the first publication, "Burnout and work satisfaction among critical care nurses in Saudi Arabia and their contributing factors: A scoping review," was gathered between June 2015 and July 2015 using a descriptive approach. Sixty eligible nurses from the Causality Intensive Care Unit, the General and Postoperative Intensive Care Units, and the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Assiut University Hospital provided data after the verbal agreement was acquired
