Role of strain in nursing refers to a position when a health provider cannot perform duties across job-related factors that change individual psychological wellbeing and stray from normal functioning. Burnout and stress are common issues in the heath working environment since nursing is occupational that deals with a tough daily decisions on is to make for someone's life. Burnout is the long-time related effect marked by depersonalization, lacking individual personal accomplishment, and emotional exhaustion. When multiple role demands exceed available resources, the person cannot possibly do justice to all the roles. Role strain results in the experience of physical, general physiological, and psychological discomfort, frustration, tension, and pressure as people function in both their work and their family worlds. Stress and burnout lower the performance level of nurses in health organizations, thus increasing the intention of leaves, increasing turnovers, and negatively affecting the quality of nursing care. Stress and burnout are regarded as a threat to the united state healthcare system, where about 6 million nurses are the largest segment in the healthcare providers' workforce, making up about 30% of US employment. Nurse’s professionals are critical with diverse disease prevention, case diagnosis, and health promotion in community and health facilities. With this workload, the health prevention and curative care system have grown to much demand daily, leading to too much strain and negatively affecting the working environment. This kind of straining was experienced during an outbreak of the covid-19 epidemic worldwide, leading to panic, reducing the workforce as many nurses were affected, and overwhelming hospitals. Caregiver Role Strain happens when the caregiver feels they can no longer carry out responsibilities adequately(Varpio & Durning,2018). However, this can lead to bad consequences.
