Assignment: Scholar-Practitioner Project Assignment: Addiction Intervention

Introduction

In handling the issues of addiction, some measures are put in place and the success in the intervention may be attained by making use of Johnson’s Model of Intervention of addition. The aim of the model is the reduction and removal of the person’s problem of addiction to drugs as opined by Geidne et al. (2019). The model presents various activities that can be used by an affected person for quitting an addiction. One of the methods that are used is for the confrontation of the victims who are suffering from the additional problem by having more than one person checking on the social and health issues of a person. This paper focuses on the use of this model in handling Marge’s case.

Some of the people who might participate in the intervention

Some persons are supposed to take part in the support of Marge one of who is her husband and her immediate members of the family. This is because these are the persons who are always spending time with her family members. This implies that she will be able to get the right plan from them. The other group that will be included is her friends. These make up a significant percentage of the social life of the patient. In the case of Marge, the person will be in a position to ensure that he can stay away from drinking since they have an understanding of their struggles for her to quit her addiction to alcohol as supported by Garcia-Romeu et al. (2019)….
