Following are the nine competencies that are described by the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF). 1. Scientific Foundation Competencies: These competencies focus on using data and analysis, which is beneficial in improving healthcare quality via evidence-based qualitative and quantitative research. The scientific foundations are also involved in health literacy, culturally sensitive issues, and vulnerable populations. The expectations and objectives of the scientific competencies are to analyze data critically and improve advanced nursing practice. Hence, it is relatable, we have learned a lot, and this competency has prepared us for advanced measures and data science. Developing new approaches in the nursing and research field is also an objective of the competency that is learned (NurseJournal.org, 2022). 2. Leadership: The focus of that competency is on advocacy, professional accountability, and scholarships. These skills are important for the practitioners and students in nursing for the scope and practice in standard measures for advanced team management. Leadership is also required for professional organizations. So the learnings from that competency are advanced and complex roles for integrations. It is also related to reflective and critical thinking to improve healthcare for cost-effectiveness, quality, and access. It also prepared the students for communication in practice and knowledge of written and oral domains (NurseJournal.org, 2022)
