In the Week 3 iHuman Cardiovascular Assessment, everything went well for me except for an exercise quiz. I have been doing better in asking health history questions and performing physical assessments since I first used iHuman. I felt knowledgeable and confident about what symptoms to expect in Mr. Granger’s case, such as elevated BNP (5.1 μg/L), edema, and weight gain. I also expected doctor’s orders to include fluid restriction, low sodium (2 g) diet, strict I/O, daily weights, antidiuretics, chest x-ray, echocardiogram, etc. After reviewing his medical history: coronary artery disease, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension, I expected the patient to be on other medications, such as antihypertensives, antihyperlipidemic agents, aspirin, etc. I feel the scenario was realistic because Mr. Granger had other medical issues and many home medications like patients we usually care for in the real world. Also, auscultating the S3 heart sound during physical assessment felt realistic to me
