What leadership qualities would you apply to effect a positive change in the practice? Be thinking about the culture of the practice

. The leadership style I would apply to effect a positive change in practice would be transactional and transformational leadership style. According to Sfantou et al. (2017), “Transformational leaders typically have the ability to inspire confidence, staff respect and they communicate loyalty through a shared vision, resulting in increased productivity, strengthen employee morale, and job satisfaction…” (p. 1). Since this practice has had employees who have been working there for almost 10 years, the need a leader who they can trust, respect, and communicate effectively with. In order to promote change and decrease professional liability concerns, communication needs to be open. Sfantou et al. (2017) describes a transactional leader as, “acts as a manager of change, making exchanges with employees that lead to an improvement in production…” (p. 2). A transactional leader focuses on employee performance and the organizational structure. They often use rewards and punishments.
